Reality for believers in closed nations around the world...
In Egypt, our brothers and sisters were forced to cancel Christmas worship services due to ongoing threats and violence aimed at Christians.
In Indonesia, a few months prior, an angry Muslim mob attacked three churches, a Christian orphanage and a Christian health center.
In Nigeria, on Christmas day, coordinated attacks across the nation (targeting Christian churches) killed at least 45.

In response to heightened persecution, Back to the Bible has initiated a unique discipleship effort in many challenging nations. Called MoBible, the strategy delivers daily passages of Scripture, for free, to a person's cell phone (known as a mobile in many nations, hence the name MoBible). The phone rings, they pick it up, and they hear the Word of God, spoken directly to them.
Why it's effective:
Safer than carrying a copy of the Bible
Overcomes high illiteracy rates (many cannot read, but most have a mobile phone)
Translated into "heart language"
Serves as a lifeline to those suffering under persecution ... reminding them, on a daily basis, that the Lord has not forgotten them.
Because of the tremendous success of MoBible thus far, it is set to be greatly expanded this year ... rolling out with new efforts in Sri Lanka, Indonesia (the most populous Muslim nation on earth), India (where Christians are often persecuted) and Nepal.
Our staff overseas are thrilled with this expansion ... recognizing the urgency of reaching struggling men and women in a safe way that is totally Bible-centered. But of course as this effort expands, the amount of resources needed to fund it also increases ... and that's where we hope you will link arms with this outreach.
